Degerloch Campus Profile
The Degerloch campus, over 30 years old, serves students from 3 years old to 18 years old, Early Years through 12th grade. The primary language of instruction is English and the campus is authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization to offer all three International Baccalaureate (IB) programs (Primary Years Program, Middle Years Program and Diploma Program), thus making it one of a select group of IB World Schools. The IB Diploma is recognized by the Kultusministerkonferenz as the equivalent of the German Abitur.
One of our strengths as a school is our emphasis on student pastoral care. Homeroom teachers are responsible for the pastoral care of each student, helping them to meet the challenges posed at different stages of their development, and a programme of career orientation and college guidance is available to all students in grades 9 through 12.
Another strength is the wide range of holistic learning experiences such as athletics, theatre, arts, languages and many other afternoon program offerings. The school is also a leading provider of experiential learning through its work with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, KIVA, Model United Nations and the Snenhalya Institute in Pune, India.
