Faculty Profile

Our teachers bring to our international learning community not only their own national heritage, but also their experience of working in other countries around the world. Other countries that ISS teachers have worked in include:

Algeria, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Botswana, Canada, China, the Congo, France, Great Britain, Greece, Haiti, Holland, Hungary, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kalimantan & West Papua, Mexico, Nepal, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Pakistan, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tasmania, Thailand, the USA, Turkey and Vietnam.

Our teachers have at least a bachelor degree (or its equivalent) and/or a home country teaching certificate and many also have advanced degrees. Because we recognize that 98% of what we now know about how children learn has only been discovered in the last five years, our teachers benefit from a significant investment in professional development and further training which takes them to conferences and workshops locally and within Europe. Such professional development is closely linked to the ISS commitment to regular evaluation and appraisal for all staff.
