ISS Interns Sharing Their Wisdom

Grade 10 students had the opportunity to hear from the current ISS Upper School Interns. All recent US university graduates, the focus of the session was to share with students what life is really like as a US university student. The Interns spoke about the differences between school and university, the difficulties they experienced while making that transition, the things they learnt (about themselves and academically) and the fun they had. Questions were asked about how to deal with academic stress, what it’s like to have a room-mate, how do you learn to manage your time, extra-curricular activities, and how do you choose what to study, if it is okay to change your mind about what you want to study, etc.

Feedback from Grade 10 was that “the interns were all very open and honest and offered some really good advice to the students”. Thank you to our interns for sharing.
