ANTIGONE announcement

Wednesday, April 11, 2018

The cast of ANTIGONE is delighted to invite you to our Spring production.

This Greek play has never been that modern and will leave you thinking about your own vision of life in our society as well as how you make decisions and judgements.
Indeed, beyond the fast-paced story of power, greed, fear & fate, Antigone is a play about the decisions we make at a personal level as well as citizens, the differences that can be found between what is right and what is legal and how people react to and judge events.

The play begins after both Antigone’s brothers have killed each other in a battle over the throne. The new king, Creon decrees that the brother who attacked with a foreign army shall remain unburied and promises death to anyone who defies him.
The play centres on Antigone's refusal to obey Creon's law and his refusal to allow any contradictions.

Our drama group will perform the classic production of “Antigone” from 16th to 18th April at 7 p.m.

Tickets sales are during lunch breaks this week!
