First ISS Film Award Ceremony
In recent weeks, students in Grade 5 have created short claymation films exploring various social aspects of a potential future colony on Kepler 22b. The films center around the premise that humans have departed Earth to establish a new settlement on Kepler 22b, the most Earth-like planet discovered by NASA to date. Each team chose a theme, such as education, technology, transportation, etc., to depict life in this hypothetical world. These short films were combined to form a final, cohesive movie named Mission Possible.
To celebrate this learning achievement, we hosted the first ISS Film Award Ceremony. Five categories of awards were announced based on voting results from students and teachers. These categories included Best Overall Movie, Best Character Design, Best Storyline, Best Film Editing, and Best Sound Editing.
