Above The Water

Degerloch Campus students in Grade 10 English Language Acquisition class presented a part of their culture that is “above the water”.

on the Cultural Iceberg as a way to make their procedural writing come alive. Students enjoyed making and tasting Baba de Camelo from Portugal, Hungarian Poppyseed Bread, German Pretzel and Weiswurst and Braziian Brigadaros. The Grade 10 students were open-minded risk-takers as they followed the instructions of their peers and embraced new foods and experiences and even learnt how to count in Norweigian, do basic Turkish Ice Cream Tricks, as well as some moves and terms in Taekwan-Do and Fencing.
